Edit Module Names
Edit module setting has three buttons Names, Types and Styles.



Some of you know what a Modules name is and some don't a this time.
Modules will be explained in later What is a Module section.
Once you know what they are in Joomla 1.5.X you will see the power of this setting.

Please note: After editing Dreamweaver must be restarted to make sure changes happen in the extension files.

1. Names
The "Names" button is to add,update or delete Joomla module position names.
There are some rules to names that one can enter into this field.
Module position names have to start with a letter.
Module position names cannot start with any alphanumeric characters.
It is best to leave module position names as simple names that describe a grid area of your template.
Examples would be top, left, right and banner etc.



2. Types
The types of button pretty much never needs to be edited there are two types of modules in Joomla and these are more for programmers then designers.
Two types are module and modules. Modules are what we mostly work with for Joomla templates. This was only put in for future expansion.



3. Styles
This button allows you to add edit and delete module styles also known as chrome.
These can also be pretty much left to the default names unless you add custom wrappers to your Joomla installation.
If you know what module chrome is then you can add your custom style name setting here.
