System Settings
 Secret Word: This a unique secret word created during install it used remote and local editor access. can be edited via Joomla install configuration.php
Path to Log folder: The location for your Joomla log files if you chose to store them.
Enable Web Services: This turns on the remote editor RPC XML services. See the plug-in manager and "XML-RPC - Joomla" & "XML-RPC - Blogger API"
Help Server: Sets the Back-end help icon links location.
User Settings
 Allow User Registration: Turn on or off the registration component to let users register.
New User Registration Type: It lets you choose what Front-end role to assign to a newly registered user.
New User Account Activation: When a user registers with your site the system sends out a email to verify the user is real. When the email link is clicked to verify that its a real person.
Front-end User Parameters: Via the Front-end User component lets the user choose there default editor etc. you can show or hide this so they can't change the default settings.
Media Settings

Legal Extensions (File Types): Add a comma separated list of legal file extension for the media manager to view.
Maximum Size (in bytes): Control the maximum file upload size.1 megabit is 131072 bits
Path to Media Folder: Root folder where like to store all your media files. The defaults are fine.
Path to Image Folder: Inside the root media folder where you like to upload your files to. The default is fine.
Restrict Uploads: Uses special Mime magic to check files uploads to a stronger rule set.
Check MIME Types: If yes then uses special Mime magic to check files uploads to a stronger rule set.
Legal Image Extensions (File Types): Add a comma separated list of legal image file extensions.
Ignored Extensions: File type not to check.
Legal MIME Types: Legal upload Mime's comma separated list.
Illegal MIME Types: Illegal upload Mime's comma separated list.
Enable Flash Uploader: Turns on a special flash upload works well. Let you upload multiple files at once. Debug Settings
 Debug System: This setting turns on debug-in to front end to show database calls etc. its called by adding a module position of debug to the front end template.
Debug Language: Shows language sections for debug-in with special characters.
Cache Settings
 Cache: Caching speeds upload system calls just like your browser makes local copy calls to articles etc. Good for sites that articles don't change or if you getting a ton of traffic.
Please note: The cache feature is great but new users sometimes go nuts with this feature. You edit an article in the back-end but the front-end article is still the same. Why? Its the cache you need to clear it via the back-end Top menu Tools > Clean Cache.
Cache Time: Cache clears and updates itself every x amount of minutes.
Cache Handler: There's only one setting it could use a special plug-in.
Session Settings
 Session Lifetime: Sets the amount of time before the session logs out the user. Tip: If you get logged out in the middle of a article post set this to more time.
Session Handler: Option of database or none which is a cookie.
