Hi I’m not going to get into a long discussion about table V.S Div table-less design.

If you want to code one way or the other the kit does not affect your design in this way.

But in my option this table-less design is a more work for nothing gained.

SEO and table-less? the only reason that people make this statement that search engines dont read css files and if you put the formatting in this file the page looks like it smaller to the search engine that’s only benefit of table-less design.

On the down side you have to make ton of hacks for each browser and update what works today will not work tomorrow that’s a fact.

I my opinion it just not worth on all the work for a 10K difference in size.

The Joomla Template kit can edit this template but is limited to adding module positions.
These templates use there own style sheet as do other designers.
To edit these types of templates with the kit by link the to the style sheets via the DW and then adding module positions.

Please remember that third party designer are custom designs which in some cases have six style sheets for color text etc. the Java script is used for many different things is out the support of the Kit.
