Yesterday I left two posts here in this forum. One looking for help with the pathway-breadcrumbs and the other was asking about a written tutorial. I checked back a couple of times yesterday but there were no responses yet. Today I check back and both posts have been deleted. Why is that?

Hello douffle,
Because you asked the same question about the video play back in another post. It was answered. If you have a support question it should asked via ticket system on the support link on top nav. http://www.m65.net/forums/sendmessage.php I’m going to put a support forum just for extension. Questions so there are less cross post. And a place for users to search for answers. As for written tutorials at this time it's not going to happen. I'm working on the new Joomla Template Kit 3.0 for Joomla 1.5 the Template System is so flexible that the product would get out of hand to write full blow written tutorials and make an extension. I’m not closed to the Idea of doing some written tutorials but not right now. It’s hard enough to think of every function and flow that a system can do with DW version limits and a product that’s not finished which I have no control of the final Joomla CMS output which I have figured out every change make and make something not-easy easy. I understand that’s the Job I do the best I can for one person. For most of our clients our product format has work well for I shout for 100% but can live with less because that’s Life. I have read or seen most books on the market about Joomla and frankly I don’t think they cover the template system are well as I have done. Now mind you our product has been in production for December of 2004 when Joomla was Mambo so a lot of Authors have seen and learned from my works. As I learn from Arthur Konze back in the Mambo days. So in short if you have question ask but don’t bust my chops by cross postings I listen to needs I do the best I can to fulfill them. Truly yours, Brian Diaz |

I'm sorry Brian but I did NOT ask any questions about the Pathway-Breadcrumbs before. I tried using the Pathway-Breacrumbs as it was shown in the video and it put the code into the index.php file but after uploading it to the server, the breadcrumbs did not display. I was tryng to see if anyone on this forum could suggest why it did not display.
I realize that you told me that you have not written any tutorials, other than the videos, and that is fine. I accepted your response, but the second post, as it stated in the message, was not directed to you specifically. I was asking if there were any other users, who have figured out how to use this kit and might be willing to write a short tutorial for dummies like me. I don't see anything wrong with asking other users for help. I actually run three vBulletin forums myself and my users share information and offer answers to other users who may be having a problem. Not all posts are directed at the administrator. If I see someone who is having the same problem that I may have had previously, I will reply to the post and tell them how I was able to resolved the issue. I don't assume that every single post is directed to the administrator and then delete the post. I think that is what forums are all about. A community of people who share knowledge with each other. I'm not trying to be antagonistic Brian. I am just explaining why I made the posts. By the way, I still need help with the breadcrumb issue but now the post is gone. Hello douffle,
Thats fine. Most of our users ask question not a lot post back for other answers. so I do most of the time. As for you bread-Crumbs its not a Module in Joomla 1.0.X it just a call it does not have a wrapper. If your using Joomla 1.5 yes you can have an issue with Bread-crumbs because now its a Module in J 1.5. J 1.5 has module and modules. I think I going to put a pop about Joomla 1.5 RC* it a Beta /Release candidate there are bugs which are been fix daily. So your going to have things not work. Does Joomla 1.5 legacy mode support all legacy templates calls? Good question I have not check but I sure the Answer is no. So if your working with the Joomla Template Kit 2.1 on Joomla 1.5 be sure to know that it not officially supported. That will happen with the Joomla Template Kit 3.0 Which is almost finished but I have to Debug a fews issues and Take a short break aka vacation then come back to make the Videos for it. This version I will be focus on the Video and training part some with the Kit another other product with a Joomla Video in start to Finish called Joomla 123. I hope that this answer your question if not email the ticket system and I will help you the best I can. Cheers, Brian |

Thanks Brian, I am using the Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode. That is probably why it doesn't work so I guess I'll have to wait until you finish the 3.0 kit.
Again, I'm sorry if you took offense to my previous comments but that was not my intent. Perhaps a few posts requesting information or help would encourage some other users to reply and offer help to each other and take some of the load off of you. Cheers |
