I am running MAMP(by e-living) on my Mac and am trying to setup DW Site Manager to recognize my site. MAMP runs from the Application folder and runs Apache on port: 8888 and PHP on port: 8889.
How do I configure the DW site manager correctly? Thanks ahead of time. |

I don't use Mac, but I do use xampp on Windows with DW.
In Remote Settings, you want to set your connection to be local/network. Then the remote folder is just the location on your computer of the files. In windows, it would be in the xampp folder in htdocs. Your mac version must have some documentation on what folder html files go in. The apache settings are irrelevant in DW... you're just transferring files from your working folder to the "server" folder. |

Hi guys,
Thanks for the help tydust. For preview feature to work you only need to point to your Joomla install. So if you see your Joomla install in your broswer http://localhost:8888/joomla thats what you put into the field. as for mapping to the template folder you need to find your Joomla install and just map it to your the templates folder in your local hard drive macHD:MAMP:doc:joomla:templates etc.. Cheers, Brian |
