I've been rummaging around on the web and haven't found the answer to this question yet: can I use Joomla on my Macintosh? Looks like I'm the first poster here... so not to optimistic for an answer, but you don't ask you don't get.
I'm just starting this endeavor and thought this might abbreviate it. Thanks. |

Hi Susan,
The Answer to your question is yes Joomla can run on Apple, Linux or Windows. To run Joomla Local workstation you will need setup Apache PHP MySQL "MAMP" The trick with Mac's is you need to setup a full Admin Account. Then you can either install in parts or download a pre-made MAMP package. See this site for one: MAMP - Mac - Apache - MySQL - PHP Or apache friends - xampp for macos x Cheers, Brian Last edited by admin; 10-10-2006 at 11:41 AM. |
