Red face Template Kit?

Hello all - just a quick noobie question

Is there a templete/skin WYSIWYG editor available that just simply presents the entire template output in a desktop or browser window (like when you are shopping for a template and seeing the full-screen demo), and then allows you to just click or click-and-drag things to change them?

For instance, I install a new template, and then I open it up in a special window. I can click on any text that came with the template (including in images like banners) and type new text, right-click on any module and change the back-ground color, click and any module or element and resize it or drag it to a new location, right-click on any image and replace it with another, etc.

Does the Template Kid do this, of am I being too pie-in-the-sky?

Thanks,

Dave

Hello Dave,
In short no.
Could one be made possibly but it would be a very generic template system.
Some of what your asking for I'm working on Joomla Template Kit 3.0 version but I will not get into details about till its publicly available.

Cheers,
Brian Diaz

Default Thanks Brian

I thought this might be a little pie-in-the-sky, but worth asking. I'm a computer professional myself, but a lot of my background was in the mainframe world.

I guess I'll just have to get deeper into things like CSS and PHP.
