Converting HTML templates into Joomla

Hi is the the Joomla Template Kit capable of converting plain HTML templates into Joomla?

Yes JTK is capable of converting a "plain" HTML template into a Joomla template. It is a matter of deciding where within your template you wish to see the Joomla modules displayed, i.e. Main Body Content, etc.

Was wondering if I could use this template kit to convert non Joomla templates that you can buy off the internet to Joomla 1.5 RC 1 templates?

Yes you can. I did this a little while back for someone I know who had brought a template from template-monster. I just added the module positions using JTK and all done. Regards Tom

Is there a quick and easy tutorial on how to convert an HTML page to a template? I need to get a template done this week so I can populate the site next week for a tough deadline. I installed the JTK extension yesterday.
