Wink Newbie with a lot of questions before buying software

Hello.
This might be quite a long post..but I wish to receive as much info as possible before purchasing your software.

1. What would the price be for the new Dreamweaver (Joomla) Extension? What would the Pro version cost? Would I need to purchase a new license each year?

2. One of my main concerns is: will your software integrate 100% into any html template? What I wish to do is to purchase templates from templatemonster.com and use your extension to integrate joomla into these templates. So the question: Can this be done? Can your software integrate 100% into these templates?

3. If I purchase your current extension, will I receive the new update for free? Or will there be an additional fee which I need to pay?

4. Um..do you have any idea when Joomla 1.5 version will be out? the stable version? not the demo?!

Thank you!

Hi louis123,

Q1. What would the price be for the new Dreamweaver (Joomla) Extension? What would the Pro version cost? Would I need to purchase a new license each year?

A1: The Pro version is still on paper so I could not give you a price at this time.
Our current product license is free lifetime upgrades on the stander version extension*.
Which will be switch to yearly as to the price I'm still looking into it.

Once the yearly version is started you have an option to renew for version updates after the year is
over and the renew price would be discounted. This will also give access to articles, videos and other
goodies that I have planed.

The Pro addition will have more added value features and more access to premium articles, code, templates and videos etc. via a system that I’m in the middle of building.
It will also be yearly and cost more then the standard version.

Self Question? M65: Now what happens once the year is up does the extension still work?

A: Yes but you will not have access to updates and to the added value content system.
this applies to both versions.

Current lifetime license holders of the stander version will receive a discount on the Pro version
If they choose to upgrade. An upgrade fee will be yearly. So they will have dual access.

Q2. One of my main concerns is: will your software integrate 100% into any html template? What I wish to do is to purchase templates from templatemonster.com and use your extension to integrate Joomla into these templates. So the question: Can this be done? Can your software integrate 100% into these templates?

This is a question that comes up a lot I can’t tell you that it will integrate 100% .
The reasons why are.
1. The person’s/designer skill sets CSS etc.
2. Not all templates are made for dynamic content which grows & shrinks
Plus Menu systems may or may not match.

Q:Have I in the past converted templatemonster.com templates with the mambo and Joomla template kit’s?
A: Yes.

Q3. If I purchase your current extension, will I receive the new update for free? Or will there be an additional fee which I need to pay?
If you purchase the extension before the cut off no. You will receive free updates on the extension and have access to our content system like if you purchased it after the cut off date.

Q4. Um..do you have any idea when Joomla 1.5 version will be out? the stable version? not the demo?!

A: This I could not tell you I’m not a member of the Joomla Core Dev team.
I see changes made daily to the Joomla 1.5 version that’s one of the reasons I have not put out the new 2.5 Joomla template kit extension. They have changed the template system once already with the 1.5 version from Pat template to PHP etc. I don’t think that there going to do it again but anything is possible.

I just don’t want our clients to start learning one way to have it changed over night.

The beta was release to soon in my opinion but it gives the team a lot of feedback which in the end will make a better product.
