Question Update Profile and Update XML don't work.

I'm using a Mac, OS 10.4 and Dreamweaver MX.
Following the video tutorial step by step and when I go to the Update Profile and enter the information in, it doesn't stick. Only the name field sticks.
When I go into the Update XML, it gets worse. It's not adding new images to the list in the XML document, and each time I open the wizard, it shows different information in the 5 fields.

I've tried reinstalling the extension for dreamweaver, same issue occurs.

Any ideas on what I can do next?

Do you need any more information?

I did successfully create a template(THANK YOU) but when I zipped it up and installed, it came up with errors and didn't appear correctly.

Hello Richfielding,

Just state this is not a support forum I will answer your questions on it this time.

I have been running the Mac extension for two years without an issue.
The only thing that this could be is that you have not map your DW site manager to your Joomla template
folder.

{This would be your Joomla main install folder path on Mac:HD}Templates\your_template_folder\
then your then second field for images would be.

{This would be your Joomla main install folder path on Mac}Templates\your_template_folder\images\

Once this is done the wizards will work right without an issue they have been tested on Mac and PC.

Also please make sure that your image paths in DW are images/logo.gif not some_path\images\logo.gif.

If you need any more help please submit a support ticket.

Cheers,
Brian

Default Still not working

Sorry about posting my support issue in the discussion area. I can't find anywhere else to do it.

I have checked your suggestion that I might have the default location for images wrong but no, I have it exactly as you said. I have even followed your video tutorial multiple times to make sure I had every setting exactly as you do and I still have the same problem.

I have completely deleted and reinstalled both Dreamweaver, Extension Manager and your extension on two different Macs now and neither work.

Sorry about my images disappearing in previous post, they should be back now.

The link is on the top navigation of home page of the site.
http://www.m65.net/publicsupport/

I need to look into this with you on the phone.
I have tested and used on Mac 10.X with DW 8.0.X not Dreamwearver MX.
The extension has been tested on Dreamweaver MX with a PC not a Mac.

I’ll open a support ticket on this you should see it in your email.

Also anyone using MAC DW MX that can verify the same error please let me Know.

Cheers,
Brian Diaz
