Default multiple DW sites and templateDetails.xml files

Is there a way to make sure the "..update xml ..." wizard is pointing to the correct file when working on multiple sites?

For example, when I work on site A in DW using the Template Kit and then close it out and open site B and its index.php and start an "update xml" wizard on site B the details panel shows it is still pointed at site A. I've had several instances now where I was not paying close attention and changed the details in the panel to the file I thought I was updating for site B when it actually updated site A with the new details.

Thanks

Hi btimms,

I at this time no but its something that someone else also has requested.

I’m looking to do it for newer versions.

The thing is that I would have to track template folders.
Let’s say that you have

Site root\Joomla install\templates\
Template 1
Template 2
Template 3

The extension functions have to know which is which.
I working on a few ideas which will make there why into the extensions

The idea the person requesting this functionally suggested was a right click over the template folder then run the update.

That’s one way and not a bad Idea.
But I am working a system with some flow plus other issue that play into it Joomla, DW versions, OS Type and maintenance updates.

So it takes time.

When I redo the forums I’m going to add a section for this type of request.

But for now the only thing that could help you is map each template as
a site in DW via the site manager. If you have ton then you could this trick export the .ste file which later you can import if you working on a client template just store the file with the info.

Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers
Brian
