Joomla Template Kit 3 Progress Report and view

Hello All,
This is a quick update on the Joomla Template Kit 3.0 for Joomla 1.5.
Here is part of the New Interface UI. See Images Attached.


1. 1. Module insert s one click insertion
You can also make and edit custom module name and styles via the
Settings tag.
2.Special insert:
2.A: inserts default bread crumbs trail module position in one click.


2.B: inserts the default main body / component rendering call in one click.


2.C: Param button New in Joomla 1.5 add custom your own Params to your Joomla template.

3.Jconditions: Adds all the conditional coding that need with no hand coding
with custom module name / position control and module style control.

4.Jtools: a collection of useful tools for your Joomla Templates designs

5.Jimages: insert images, flash and Flash Video in one quick location.


6.Image Wizard: This wizard is a super improvement over last version. Will fix any image paths on any images in one click


7. J CSS Switcher: This is a major addition to the Joomla Template Kit.
Add and Removes a Local CSS link to your Joomla Template. I have added a built-in reference guide helps you redesign Joomla CSS Styles live in Dreamweaver. Each section is map out live in DW when you make changes to the Reference CSS Guide the changes will be applied to your Joomla Template. It comes with two views


Master view: See image.


Master view has a jump menu which dived into sections for components and Modules etc. It not only shows you the rendered components and modules but the CSS class that’s affected in each area. Oh not enough what about the default Joomla menu styles renders five levels deep. So you can style your CSS Menu in DW as see the changes deep and rollover highlights.

Is the same as Master view above but takes out the Class highlights and HTML type highlights so easier to see your when your designing.


8.J Preview: Opens your default browser to view your template live.

9.J XML Details Wizard: Makes short work of updating your Joomla Template Details XML file.


Writes all of your files and folders recursively as deep as you have then for those of you which will use the new Joomla Template override option to custom design your components templates.



It also reads the index.php for custom module names / positions and writes them into your Joomla TemplateDetails.xml file. Later on I will be adding more features to this wizard set.

10. Joomla Base Template Files: This wizard is a large improvement over the last wizard.
New Feature it will now have a choice of which template base files you will like to make your template from. See picture attached.



Also in future version I will add an import and delete feature to add your own base designs.
Just a quick look into what’s coming soon.
