Default Create template with fireworks/photoshop

Are you going to release a tutorial how to create a template with fireworks/photoshop and cut it out in images. Then put it all together in dreamweaver?

Hello fonager

It's out of the scope of our extension that's more like web design 102.
But I can tell you it's not that hard to take a template from another site make it a
Joomla Template with our extension.

Do a search on google fonager you should find a lot of How 2's on Photoshop or fireworks
to make a web template.

Just a quick how 2 on importing a template to Joomla.

1.Make sure that your template has this path for your images

<img src="images/logo.png" width="280" height="200" />
"The important part is the images/logo.gif"

2. copy your images from your "non Joomla template" to your images folder for your Joomla template
that was created by our create Base files wizard.

3.Open the your "non Joomla template" and copy from inside <body> tag to </body>.

4.Open your Joomla Template index.php paste the code that will be your
Layout for your Joomla template save your work.

5. If you have any CSS files for you non-Joomla-template copy the code
Into your template_css.css file for Joomla which was made by the wizard.

Now you have to edit some of the css code that’s in the css file to match you
Colors and fonts style's.

6. Add your module positions to your new Joomla template save your work.

7. Run the "images to CMS wizard" and your images have the right code to work in Joomla
save your work.

Your done.
